We’ve all been there—when we hover and loiter over our kids and their every need and whim. But when does it become helicopter parenting? Wikipedia defines a helicopter parent as someone “who pays extremely close attention to a child’s or children’s experiences and problems, particularly at educational institutions. Helicopter parents are so named because, like helicopters, they hover overhead.”
