If you’re as big of a fan of Freshly Picked moccasins as we are, then you’re going to be ecstatic to know that the company has launched a clothing line!
The brand known for adorable leather mocs that are coveted by celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian, has debuted its spring collection which includes overalls, shorts, tops and onesies. According to The Huffington Post, founder Susan Peterson collaborated with artist Chris Crosby to create designs that were inspired by palm tree motifs at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
There are two things we really love about the collection. One is that it’s definitely affordable, something Peterson wanted to make sure of. “If you’re a fan of the brand, but maybe a $60 pair of moccasins is kind of hard for you, there’s a t-shirt for $20 or other things with a lower price point and you still feel like you can have a piece of the brand even if you don’t have the moccasins,” she told The Huffington Post.
The second thing we love is the diversity in the fashion ads. Not only has Freshly Picked feature Black and Asian baby models, but there is also a little boy with Down syndrome — truly adding to the awesome factor of Freshly Picked. “Our brand is super diverse — our customers are diverse, and we wanted them to be able to see their baby and something they identified with within our brand,” Peterson said.
We think it’s just fabulous, and we particularly can’t wait to get our hands on the B-A-N-A-N-A-S button down!
