Strollers can be nothing if not cumbersome, especially for those of us living in an urban setting, so it’s pretty impressive that Baby Zen has been able to design a stroller, the Yo Yo Stroller, that’s not only lightweight, but is so compact that it’s the only one on the market that can be put as overhead luggage on an airplane. And no, it’s not one of those cheap looking flimsy ones. It can easily go head-to-head with a Maclaren.
Airline certified to be the size of a piece of carry-on luggage, it’s 20.5 x 17 x 7 inches when collapsed and a mere 12.8 pounds. It also has a strap so you can carry it like a handbag when it’s folded making it convenient for everyday on-the-go scenarios as well… especially stairs… More impressive still it unfolds – like a yo-yo – with a simple flick.
The compact size also means that it’s easy to maneuver the stroller and get through tight spaces without the usually squeezing and accidental pushing. The only downside – well, aside from the price which is $399 – is that you’ll have to wait until your little one is 6 months old to be able to use it (suitable for children up to 33lbs), and there isn’t too much storage space so you might have to upgrade to a bigger baby bag.
Aside from the strap for carrying the stroller when it’s folded, it also comes with washable padding, rain cover, and travel bag.
